Shortbread Cookie Dough Mix 1kg
Create delicious, buttery shortbread biscuits with Shortbread Mix. Easy to prepare and perfect for cutting into your favourite shapes, this mix is ideal for everyday baking, decorating, parties and special occasions.
Ingredients & Recipe
You will need:
- 1kg Bakels Shortbread Mix
- 550g salted butter, softened and cut into approximately 3cm cubes
Method
- Add the Shortbread Mix and softened butter cubes to a mixer or food processor.
- Mix on low speed until combined.
- Remove the mixture onto a lightly floured bench and gently bring together into a ball.
- Divide the mixture in half.
- Place each portion between two sheets of greaseproof paper and gently roll evenly to approximately 5mm thick.
- Place the rolled dough onto a flat tray and refrigerate for 10 minutes.
- Remove from the fridge and cut into your desired shapes.
- Remove the offcuts and repeat the rolling and cutting process.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for approximately 8–12 minutes.
Baking times may vary depending on the size and shape of your biscuits.
